RLI Squad for First Roughyed Cup

Ireland EuroTag RugbyLeague Squad to play in the Roughyeds Cup
The RLI will be sending a squad picked from recent trials and last years EuroTag competitions to Oldham, England to play in the First Roughyeds Cup.
The Cup will take place on the 2nd of April with 6 teams taking part From Oldham, Wigan, Ireland, Chester and Manchester. A number of former professionals will be taking to the field at Whitebank Stadium and the level of competition should be superb.
The Competition is an innovation from Oldham Rugby Leagues; Graham Hibbert, who seeks to make the event an annual occasion to help the historic Oldham club grow. A family fun day will run alongside the competition with all proceeds on the day will going towards Oldham RLFC.
The Ireland Squad consists of a mix of youth and experience, draws from all over Ireland and includes some Irishmen living abroad. The RLI squad will also feature match official Gavin Laing who will be an integral part of officiating on the day using his depth of knowledge gained from referee expirience all over the rugby league world.
The Cup is the third event of the EuroTag calendar with Hungary RL kicking off the year hosting two ETRL competitions in January, and all eyes on the European Cup in Lodz, Poland , May 14th.
