Tyrone McCarthy an integral part of the 2008 Irish Students World Cup Side has today won himself a Challege Cup medal after the Warrington Wolves defeated Huddersfield 25 to 16 at Wembley Stadium. Tyrone was exstatic when he was interviewed after the match on BBC 1 and mentioned that he and his mother were out shopping when he got the call from Warrington coach Tony Smith "I was out shopping with my Mum when i got the call and Tony said ´Your in´ Mum didnt believe me and i couldn´t believe it". This is a huge moment in Tyrone´s career after only 2 previous first grade games with Warrington so far. Tyrone is a very proud of his Irish roots which was inherited from his much loved Irish grandad. The RLI would like to congratulate Tyrone on this great achievement.
Tyrone is a 20-year-old forward who made his Super League debut for Warrington less than two weeks ago.
