Munster Masters Rugby League Tournament - Sat 5th December 09
The first annual Munster Masters Rugby League Tournament will be held on Saturday 5th December at Sean Choill, Corbally, Limerick. Hosted by the current RLI Carnegie League Champions, the Treaty City Titans, the event will be the first of its kind in Ireland.
Approximately 70 players from the UK will travel to Limerick along with former Irish International and current Assistant Coach of the National team Barrie McDermott. Some RLI teams will also be taking part in what promises to be a wonderful occasion.
All players will arrive on Friday 4th of December for ´orientation´ and the games will begin on Saturday at 1.30pm. As well as the rugby league there will be a number of other community activities that all players are encouraged to take part in.
It promises to be an eventful weekend with the touring party being accommodated by the Strand Hotel and Icon Night Club. The event is open to anyone over the age of 35 so to get involved enthusiastic participants are asked to contact RLI Development Officer Brendan Guilfoyle on 086 772 2646 or devmc@rli.ie for further details.
