Day 6 - Sat 18th Oct 08

Posted by Mike Callaghan - Team Manager on 20th Oct 2008
Following yesterdays exploits in training the schedule today was more specific and all in house at Narrabeen. Because of all the hard work put in by the players a challenge was put down to the management team to see if they could do anything nearly as physical. Fools as they are they accepted the challenge. Mid afternoon in the blazing sun Mick Cassidy, the players leader set the challenges. All 8 management team and RLI director Tony Kenny positioned themselves on the running track. First came a bike race, then a hundred metre sprint ( in flip flops through gated hurdles!) then followed the most spectacular event of all a long jump. The event was stolen by Tony who with all the squad around the sandpit saw his first leap end in a forward roll into the pit with glasses and sand spilling everywhere. The players fell around with sheer delight. Well Tony is now the main man having accepted, competed and won at the challenge. If this was on video he would definitley be getting €250 from YOU'VE BEEN FRAMED. A fantastic afternoon was had by all, the evening comprised a team talk and dvd with players and management followed by an early night ahead of our last day in Narrabeen and a free night in Manly.

Ni Neart go cur le cheile.
