Andy Kelly has told us that we are training on a local rugby pitch today next to the beach at Narrabeen. We were well pleased about that I tell you in this heat, 28 degrees centrigrade and we were working very hard. After an intense training session, we had a running/sprint/swim session on the beach with the head conditioner Colin. To say we were put through our paces was an understatement but if it improves our fitness then we are all up for it.
Following the training on the way back to our base the coaching staff informed us that we had an evening off and were being taken to Manly Wharf, great, the biggest cheer of the day so far.
We went for a feed and a few drinks and to be honest it was a great evening. I would recommend Manly to anyone visiting the Sydney region, a great place to relax and meet people. There were quite a few NRL players there who the lads had played with in England, France and even Australia previously. What we didn't know in advance was that most people travel to Manly by ferry, the terminal is a very full place at the end of the night and it can be difficult to get a cab because of the crowds too but as they say all nights come to an end and tomorrow we have more training in Parmatta, our new venue when we finally get to see the Stadium we will be playing at.
